I've been wanting to make this for a while. :/
I see this a lot in both literature and on the internet. People, especially girls, get so much shit said about them just because they're 'popular'. Because they have a lot of friends and wear name brands and have a boyfriend and whatnot. In books, they're always a total bitchnugget and torment the MC who is usually much less popular (dare I say a loser), and everyone around them LOLs in their face and whatnot.
And in real life (including online), people who aren't popular are always saying shit about the people who are because OMG SO AND SO'S A WHORE and OMG SHE'S WEARING ABERCROMBIE and OMG SHE'S LOOKING AT ME FUNNY.
There are times I feel like saying, "Uh, no. She's not."
Prime example (and the reason I felt the need to make this stamp). At lunch, there's this one girl who always goes to the bathroom to check her makeup at around the same time. And then there's a girl at my lunch table who sees her, and every day, makes some kind of comment about her and how she's so orange, or her clothes are so skanky, and how she's such a whore, and yaddah yaddah yaddah. Now, these two have never even met each other. I've known the makeup girl since I was in fourth grade, and I've been a pretty big loser since fourth grade, and all my life she has been sweet as pie to me. It's kind of like, yeah, she's a slut, but she's a nice slut. Shut your trap and stop talking about her.
I don't know. It just really, really irks me how "losers" act like they're above these people just because they're not popular. Especially because the things that popular kids used to get ragged on for (like drinking and having sex and all that jazz), a lot of other people are doing now, too.
I know this probably won't be my most popular (haha) stamp, because it's in a way attacking the audience (because no offense, dA, but it's people like you who are saying this), but I just felt like it needed to be thrown out there.
And you, right there, about to comment and tell me how I'm wrong because this special scenario happened to ME and what if the moon fell out of orbit and this and this happened!
I understand there are exceptions to the rule. I understand that there are plenty of popular people who deserve all the shit talked about them, just as there are losers who deserve it. But I'm talking about as a whole. Believe it or not, most popular people will be nice to you if you're not talking shit about them before you try to be friends.
